Burkle AquaSampler for Groundwater Sampling
The Burkle AquaSampler is designed to collect groundwater samples from wells, pits and other water sources. Constructed using ultra-pure FEP and PTFE materials, it features a smooth, non-stick surface and rounded edges and threads to support easy cleaning and sample handling.
Available in three capacities, the AquaSampler lets you choose the collection volume and length suited to your sampling requirements. All three variants share a 45 mm outer diameter, making the sampler suitable for use in standard well shafts with access openings up to 2 inches in diameter, as described by the manufacturer.
Choose your AquaSampler
- 350 mL: Compact option with a 450 mm overall height.
- 700 mL: Mid-capacity option with a 790 mm overall height.
- 1,050 mL: Largest collection capacity, with a 1,222 mm overall height.

Applications
The AquaSampler is intended for collecting groundwater samples from sources such as:
- Groundwater monitoring wells.
- Wells and pits used for water sampling.
- Other suitable water sources where a dipping sampler is appropriate.
- Environmental monitoring and laboratory sampling workflows.
Required Accessories
The AquaSampler requires a suitable lowering cable and manually operated reel for use. These accessories are listed separately by the manufacturer and are not included with the sampler.
- Manually operated PP reel: Reel for handling the lowering cable; supplied without the cable.
- 304 stainless steel/PTFE lowering cable: Designed for immersion bottles and immersion samplers, with a PTFE surface that helps liquid drain from the cable.
Important: Order the lowering accessories separately
The AquaSampler package includes the sampler and a PTFE cable fastening sleeve. The manually operated reel and lowering cable are required accessories and must be ordered separately. Confirm the required cable length and reel compatibility for your sampling depth before ordering.
Material and Sample Purity
The AquaSampler uses FEP (fluorinated ethylene propylene) and PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene), materials selected by the manufacturer for their ultra-pure and non-stick surface properties. The rounded design helps simplify cleaning between sampling activities.
For applications involving specific contaminants or chemical constituents, establish an appropriate cleaning procedure and confirm material compatibility with the sample and analytical method.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which AquaSampler capacity should I choose?
Choose the 350 mL, 700 mL or 1,050 mL model based on the sample volume required and the available access depth. Also consider the overall sampler height when working in confined well openings.
What is the diameter of the AquaSampler?
All three variants have a manufacturer-listed outer diameter of 45 mm.
Does the AquaSampler include a lowering cable?
No. The package includes the AquaSampler and one PTFE cable fastening sleeve. The lowering cable and manually operated reel are listed as necessary accessories and should be purchased separately.
What materials are used?
The manufacturer lists FEP and PTFE for the AquaSampler.
Is the AquaSampler suitable for every well?
The manufacturer states that the sampler fits standard well shafts with control openings up to 2 inches in diameter. Check the actual opening, access conditions, sampler length and required sampling depth before selecting a variant.
