Burkle MicroSampler Powder Sampler – 0.2–1.0 mL

The Burkle MicroSampler is designed for collecting small, targeted samples of free-flowing powders and fine-grained materials from sacks and containers. Its interchangeable sampling heads allow collection volumes from 0.2 mL to 1.0 mL, making it suitable for applications where only a small quantity of material is required.

Choose from three lance lengths to suit your sampling depth: 550 mm, 850 mm, or 1,170 mm. The sampler features a 12 mm outer diameter and is constructed primarily from 316L stainless steel.

Important: Sampling Head Sold Separately

The MicroSampler lance does not include a sampling head. The required head must be ordered separately. Select a compatible 0.2 mL, 0.5 mL, or 1.0 mL head for the 12 mm MicroSampler model.

Key Features

  • Designed for small-volume powder sampling from sacks and containers

Check Head Compatibility

These accessories are for the 12 mm MicroSampler range with 0.2–1.0 mL sampling volumes. Confirm the head is compatible with your selected model before ordering. The larger 2.0–10 mL MicroSampler range is a separate model with a different lance diameter.

How to Use the MicroSampler

  1. Insert the MicroSampler into the powder to the desired sampling depth.
  2. At the target point, press the button to open the sampling head and allow material to enter.
  3. Close the sampling head to collect the sample.
  4. Withdraw the lance, reopen the head, and discharge the sample into the appropriate container.

Applications

The MicroSampler is intended for collecting small quantities of free-flowing, powdery or fine-grained materials from sacks and containers. Its target-point sampling design allows material to be collected from a selected depth rather than only from the surface.

Materials and Construction

  • Main material: Stainless steel 1.4404 (AISI 316L)
  • Additional materials: Polyamide (PA) and stainless steel 1.4310 (AISI 301 spring steel)
  • Lance diameter: 12 mm
  • Tip: Pointed and removable

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the MicroSampler include a sampling head?

No. The sampling head must be purchased separately. Choose the compatible head based on the required sample volume.

What is the difference between the three models?

The models differ in plunge depth and total length. Choose 550 mm, 850 mm, or 1,170 mm plunge depth based on the depth you need to reach in the material being sampled.

Which materials can be sampled?

The manufacturer specifies the MicroSampler for powdery or fine-grained, free-flowing materials.

Can the sampling volume be changed?

Yes. Compatible interchangeable heads are available for 0.2 mL, 0.5 mL, and 1.0 mL sample volumes. The required head is sold separately.
