SKU: B02-122-500g~ea
SKU: B02-122-500g~ea
Description
Brilliant Green Bile Agar is a medium used for confirming the presence of coliforms in water, sewage, and dairy products. Brilliant Green and Oxbile inhibit Gram-positive and most Gram-negative bacteria. Lactose is the main carbohydrate source. Upon its fermentation by the coli-aerogenes group, rapid formation of gas can be observed. Agar is the gelifying agent. There is a choice of 3 sizes - 500g, 2kg, and 10kg.
PREPARATION: Mix 20.6 grams of the medium in one liter of purified water until evenly dispersed. Heat with repeated stirring until boiling to dissolve completely. Distribute and autoclave at 121°C for 15 minutes. **Medium must be protected from light and used the same day it is made.
