500 mL Safety-Labelled LDPE Wash Bottles

Keep water and isopropanol clearly identified at the laboratory bench. These 500 mL wash bottles combine a printed contents label, colour-coded closure and dispensing spout for routine rinsing and liquid dispensing. A wide mouth simplifies refilling, while the translucent bottle makes the remaining liquid visible.

Choose the blue Water bottle or yellow Isopropanol bottle to match your procedure. Available through Cambridge Environmental Products in Ontario, with CAD pricing and Canadian purchasing support.

Ideal For

Routine bench work in research laboratories, universities and colleges, wastewater labs, food and beverage QA/QC laboratories, and industrial QA/QC facilities where procedures call for water rinsing or compatible isopropanol dispensing.

Why Choose These Wash Bottles?

  • Printed contents identification: Helps users distinguish the designated liquid before dispensing.
  • Colour-coded closures: Blue identifies the Water option and yellow identifies Isopropanol. Always read the label rather than relying on colour alone.
  • 53 mm wide mouth: Provides easier access when refilling the bottle.
  • Translucent LDPE body: Lets users check the liquid level without removing the cap.
  • Directed dispensing spout: Helps apply liquid where it is needed during routine bench rinsing.

Which Option Should I Choose?

Water — Blue Closure

Choose this option for water dispensing and rinsing where permitted by your laboratory method. The pictured label reads “Water”; it does not specifically identify distilled or deionized water. If your procedure requires either designation, ask Cambridge about a bottle with the appropriate label.

Isopropanol — Yellow Closure

Choose this option when your procedure calls for isopropanol dispensing. Confirm that the liquid concentration, contacted materials and working conditions are suitable. The bottle label does not establish a disinfectant concentration or validate a cleaning procedure.

Compatibility and Handling Notes

  • Match the contents to the printed label. Do not substitute another chemical based only on cap colour.
  • Check compatibility with both LDPE and polypropylene before use.
  • Follow the liquid supplier’s safety data sheet and your workplace handling procedures.
  • Do not assume suitability for autoclaving, sterile applications, heated liquids or precise volume measurement.
  • If your procedure requires a safety-vented bottle, ask Cambridge to confirm a suitable model before ordering.

For other capacities, consider our LDPE wash bottles with polypropylene closures. You can also browse laboratory bottles for other dispensing and storage requirements. Confirm replacement cap and spout compatibility before ordering; a similar-looking closure is not enough to establish fit.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a laboratory wash bottle used for?

A wash bottle directs liquid through a spout for routine rinsing and dispensing at the bench. Select the liquid and bottle according to your laboratory procedure.

What is the difference between the blue and yellow options?

The blue option is labelled Water; the yellow option is labelled Isopropanol. Both have a 500 mL nominal capacity. Choose by contents label, not colour preference.

Is the blue bottle labelled for distilled water?

No. The current product photograph shows a Water label. Ask Cambridge if you need a bottle specifically labelled Distilled Water or Deionized Water.

Can these bottles be used in wastewater or food and beverage labs?

They can support routine bench dispensing where the laboratory’s procedure calls for the labelled liquid and compatible bottle materials. They do not perform a test or establish compliance with a testing method.

Can I use the isopropanol bottle for another solvent?

Select a bottle labelled for the actual contents and verify material compatibility. Do not use the Isopropanol label to identify a different solvent.

How do I confirm the quantity supplied?

Contact Cambridge with the selected SKU and the number of bottles needed to confirm the selling unit and availability before placing a volume order.
