Reversible Magnetic Separation Rack
MTC Bio’s Reversible Magnetic Separation Rack is designed for efficient, low-throughput magnetic bead–based nucleic acid purification while maintaining an exceptionally compact footprint. Its innovative flip-over design allows the rack to be configured for either 8 × 1.5/2.0 mL microcentrifuge tubes or 16 × 0.2 mL PCR tubes, providing flexibility without increasing bench space requirements.
Double-sided, ultra-strong magnets deliver a pull strength of 5,000 g and a field strength exceeding 5,000 gauss, enabling rapid and reliable bead separation. Tube wells are angled at a 10° pitch to maximize contact between beads and the magnetic field, improving separation efficiency and consistency.
For added precision, microtube wells include adapter rings that allow users to adjust tube height relative to the magnetic field. The magnets are housed within a removable sleeve, allowing quick bead resuspension by temporarily disengaging the magnetic field—without removing tubes from the rack. With dimensions of just 3.75 × 1.75 × 1.5 inches, this rack is ideal for benchtops where space is limited.
