Adam Equipment Gladiator GGL 300aM Trade-Approved IP68 Washdown Scale – 150 kg × 20 g
The Adam Equipment Gladiator GGL 300aM is a stainless steel washdown floor scale for weighing that must be legally accurate in wet, hygiene-critical areas. It weighs up to 150 kg (300 lb) in 20 g (0.05 lb) increments on a 600 × 450 mm stainless steel platform. The indicator is raised on a column for easy reading. It is IP68-rated, so it can be cleaned thoroughly between production runs. Its weighing base and indicator are covered by Measurement Canada notices of approval for use in trade.
The GGL 300aM suits food processors, butchers, delis, seafood and produce packers, and bakeries that sell by weight and clean their scales daily. It also fits food and beverage QA/QC, pharmaceutical and industrial production areas. The colour-changing display speeds up checkweighing, and the internal rechargeable battery lets you use the scale where mains power isn't convenient. It is available in Canada from Cambridge Environmental Products with CAD pricing and Canadian purchasing support.
Ideal For
- Selling by weight in meat, seafood, cheese, deli, bakery and farm-market operations
- Washdown areas in food and beverage production, where scales are hosed or wiped down daily
- Food and beverage QA/QC: portion control, pack weights and net-content checks up to 150 kg
- Pharmaceutical and industrial production areas that need a sealed, cleanable scale
Why Choose the Gladiator GGL 300aM?
Measurement Canada–approved components
The scale's 150 kg weighing base is covered by Measurement Canada approval AM-6197, as accuracy class III with a verification interval of 20 g (0.05 lb). Its AE 403aM indicator is covered by AM-6213C. Both approval documents are linked below. These approvals mean the scale is suitable for use where weight determines price, once it has been inspected (see the FAQ).
IP68 protection, including the connectors
IP68 means the scale is dust-tight and protected against water. The indicator is sealed, and the connectors on the underside are IP68-rated as well. You can wash the scale properly in food and pharmaceutical areas without the water damage that ends the life of ordinary scales.
Stainless steel construction
The housing and base are stainless steel, and the pan is grade 304. They stand up to repeated cleaning, and there are no painted surfaces to chip into product.
Floor-standing design with a large 600 × 450 mm platform
The low 600 × 450 mm platform sits on the floor, so heavy totes, cases, sacks and crates can be slid or set on it without lifting them onto a bench. The indicator is raised on a column (overall height 1,034 mm), so operators can read the display and use the keypad without bending down.
Colour-changing display for fast checkweighing
Set high and low limits, and the backlight changes colour to show under, within or over target. Operators can pass or reject a pack at a glance, which speeds up portioning and pack checks. The 40 mm digits are easy to read from a distance.
Up to 90 hours on battery
The internal rechargeable lead-acid battery lets you move the scale between stations, or run it where plugging in near water is impractical. A 12 VDC adapter is included for mains power.
Sealed, colour-coded keypad
The tactile keypad is sealed against dirt and spills. Large colour-coded keys are easy to find, even with gloves on.
5-year warranty
Adam Equipment backs the GGL 300aM with a 5-year warranty.

Compatibility & Selection Notes
- Trade use requires inspection: Measurement Canada requires a verification of conformity (inspection) in addition to the approval before the scale is used in trade.
- Functions not covered for trade: under AM-6213C, peak hold is prohibited in legal-for-trade use. The counting and over/under target functions have not been evaluated by Measurement Canada and are not covered by the approval. Basic gross/net/tare weighing is the approved trade function.
- Conditional indicator approval: AM-6213C is a conditional approval. Under its terms, devices placed in service may need later modification once Measurement Canada adopts final specifications for these devices.
- Capacity: 150 kg is the maximum load including any tray or container. For heavier items, Adam offers the same design up to 300 kg. Contact Cambridge for a quote.
- Not a laboratory balance: for gram-fraction work, use a precision balance.
- Footprint: the scale is about 450 × 705 mm with the column fitted and stands 1,034 mm tall. Allow floor space and keep it on a level, solid floor for accurate results.
Use & Care Notes
- Charge the internal battery fully before first use.
- Let the scale reach room temperature before use, and place it on a flat, stable surface away from drafts and vibration.
- Avoid shock-loading the pan. Place items gently, especially near full capacity.

Peak hold may not be used for trade, and the counting and over/under functions are not covered by the approval.
What is the capacity and readability?
150 kg (300 lb) capacity with 20 g (0.05 lb) readability on a 600 × 450 mm stainless steel platform. The approved verification interval is also 20 g (0.05 lb).
What does IP68 mean for a washdown scale?
The scale is fully protected against dust and against water ingress beyond splashes and jets. Both the sealed indicator and the underside connectors are IP68-rated.
Can it run on battery?
Yes. The internal rechargeable lead-acid battery runs for up to 90 hours, and a 12 VDC adapter is included.
Can it connect to a computer or printer?
