Glass Mortar & Pestle

Made from heavy flint glass, suitable for preparing mixtures that require the reduction of soft aggregates or the incorporation of relatively large amounts of liquid. Ideal for compounding pastes and ointments. Mortars feature a pour spout and reinforced base. Pestles have extra large grinding head and comfort grip, ball-ended handle.

Glass mortar and pestles can be sterilized, washed with soap and water, or wiped with alcohol - compared to wedgewood which cannot be fully sterilized. This makes glass sets our recommended choice to meet the requirements of the College of Pharmacists.
